I Have Enough Content to Work Through!

So, it is all about the plan. Even lesson plans you have used before...review and redesign to make sure every student is involved in the learning process.

Some questions you can ask yourself every time you are planning any instructional activity are:

  1. How many ways is this concept explained? (As each student learns differently, there should be more than one).

  2. Have I answered the reason why this is important? (Students need to know the purpose).

Once there, then think about every student in your class or online group in relation to the concept you are teaching. As you think about each student, ask yourself:

  3. Have I included everyone in this? (Or am I generalizing to the "middle" of the group?)
  4. Have I provided input opportunity? (Can each student engage, interact, and provide new ideas or  thoughts?)

    Then, finally ask yourself:

  5. What difference will this make to each student's overall learning and their use of it? (Students should be able to apply what they have learned in a meaningful way).

TIP: Step through an intentional process when planning instruction.
