As Williamson Medical Center kicks off the new year, it's easy to see that we have a lot of new endeavors in the works from the children's hospital coming out of the ground on our campus, to new walk-in clinics in and around Williamson County and offices opening at Tollgate Medical Plaza in Thompson's Station.
But another very exciting change comes in the addition of doctors William Daniel Halford, M.D., and Alex James Slandzicki, M.D., to Williamson Medical Group (formerly Williamson Primary Care). The two physicians joined Art Williams, D.O., in their new office space on the fifth floor of Williamson Tower and began seeing patients there on Jan. 6.
Williams' former partner at Williamson Primary Care, Scott Lieberman, M.D., relocated to Thompson's Station to open Williamson Medical Group at Tollgate Medical Plaza.
Halford is a native of Tennessee and completed his family medicine residency at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He has been in practice for 21 years and treats patients of all ages. He also provides travel medicine services as a certified member of the International Society of Travel Medicine. Halford and his wife Julia have three children and enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling.
Slandzicki is a native of Ohio where he completed his undergraduate education at Notre Dame before attending medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency and became certified in family medicine at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Penn. Slandzicki has been seeing patients of all ages in the Nashville area since 1998 and has served as a clinical instructor for the Vanderbilt University College of Medicine and School of Nursing. He and his wife Carolyn have three children.
"We are both excited to join Williamson Primary Care and begin the next chapter of our medical careers in Williamson County," Slandzicki said. "Caring for the entire family is something all three of us are passionate about and look forward to seeing existing and new patients at Williamson Primary Care."
Williams, who has been with WMC since 1999 has been practicing in Williamson County for more than 15 years. Board-certified in Family Medicine, he is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Hailing from East Providence, R.I., Williams earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and he completed an internship and residency in family medicine at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Ga. He lives in Thompson's Station with his wife Andrea, their three horses, two dogs and a cat.
All three physicians are accepting new patients at their office located on the fifth floor of Williamson Tower, 4323 Carothers Parkway, suite 505.
