Williamson Medical Group, a division of Williamson Medical Center, has enhanced its services in Thompson's Station and Spring Hill by adding pulmonary and sleep medicine to the WMG office in Tollgate Medical Plaza. Joining Scott Lieberman, M.D., who opened his internal medicine office here in January, are Devin Sherman, M.D. and Aaron Milstone, M.D.

Milstone is board certified in pulmonary and sleep medicine and Sherman in pulmonary disease, internal medicine and critical care. Both are seeing a wide variety of patients ranging from those with COPD to sleep disorders. Milstone and Sherman will continue to also see patients in their Franklin office on the campus of Williamson Medical Center in addition to having office hours at Tollgate. Pulmonologist Laura Hunt, M.D., is also available to see patients at WMG's Franklin office.

"We are excited to offer our sleep and pulmonary services at a second location," Milstone said. "We are one of the few sleep centers in Williamson County that has an accredited program, so we are excited to provide a more convenient appointment for our existing and future patients in southern Williamson County."

Tim Burton, Associate Administrator for Operations at Williamson Medical Center, said adding these services to the Tollgate Medical Plaza location is a logical step in taking the services offered at WMC closer to the patients and communities it serves.

"Our sleep and pulmonary businesses are exploding and with the recent accreditation, we know we are going to broaden our reach even more. Offering these services in a second location enables us to continue to grow this segment of our business, while also offering a needed service to an important part of our community," Burton said.

Sherman, who is focusing his time at Tollgate on those with respiratory issues, says it's great for residents in the southern part of the county to be seen regularly without having to drive to Franklin.

"We already see a large number of patients who live in the Thompson's Station area, so by bringing our services to Tollgate, we not only provide a more convenient option for them, but to future patients who might be more apt to come see a pulmonologist if the office is more convenient and staffed with board-certified physicians," he said.

Tollgate Medical Plaza opened at the entrance to Tollgate Village in January of this year and currently houses outpatient imaging, a lab draw station, and physical therapy in addition to Lieberman's primary care office. Sherman and Milstone are currently seeing patients at Tollgate. Appointments can be made for both locations by calling the Franklin office at 615-790-4159.
